Kayaking Silver River

Silver Springs, once a leading attraction in Florida, is the largest artesian spring in the world. On a paddle down the river, you will see birds, alligators, fish and on a good day, manatees and monkeys! If you are a trivia buff, near the head springs you can see statues from the James Bond movie “Moonraker.”  Also filmed at Silver Springs: “Rebel Without a Cause,” “Distant Drums,” “Creature from the Black Lagoon,” and six Tarzan movies.
