Morning on Shady Pond

Magnificent horse farms dot the landscape of Marion County. Ocala is known as the Horse Capital of the World with more than 600 horse farms. For the equine enthusiast there are loads of horse-related activities year-round. For the birders, this is a great pond for finding the occasional Roseate Spoonbill, Canada Geese and Great Blue Herons.
